The town of Septfonds, in Puisaye, has a particularity which is only noticed during the end of year celebrations: it is very decorated. It’s thanks to the Festival Committee, which mobilizes every year to create new decorations. In addition to the traditional illuminations, characters are represented on polyurethane plates. Often taken from cartoons or the world of Christmas, these decorations amaze young and old alike.
A family’s goal: to make the town lively for Christmas
At the origin of these decorations, there is Lucien Mazé, president of the Festival Committee of Septfonds, in Puisaye. He and his family, notably his daughter Delphine, who draws, create new decorations every year: “People like to see us. The decorations following the posts are not ideal, they’re not magic for me. The ones we put up are imaginary”he concludes. An imagination that knows how to touch adults and especially young peoplelike Benjamin, 6 years old, and Alicia, 4 years old, amazed by the representations of the Mario Kart characters.
