Food allergies represent a problem that can give us a lot of headaches during the end of year celebrations!

Generally speaking, there are different types of symptoms that can appear during an allergic reaction: on the skin: hives, redness, itching. In the stomach: nausea, pain, cramps, diarrhea. At the respiratory level, cough, chest pain, shortness of breath, difficulty swallowing and breathing. Other symptoms may also appear such as severe anxiety, headaches may appear. In these cases, it is essential to consult a healthcare professional. And for people who have severe allergic reactions, emergency treatment is an injection of epinephrine (or adrenaline) available in the form of an auto-injector like the EpiPen.
