An infant was kidnapped on Wednesday from the Ndella Madior Diouf orphanage located in Sacré-Cœur. The investigation carried out by the Special Cyber Security Division (DSC), following the complaint of Ndella’s daughter, led to the arrest of two individuals.
She is a woman married to an emigrant and one of the security guards at the orphanage. According to Seneweb, the woman in question had made her husband living abroad believe that she was pregnant, thus pushing him to regularly send money. Anticipating the revelation of the deception, she attempted to adopt a baby from the orphanage, but her request was refused by Ndella Madior Diouf.

In desperation, she allegedly offered the security guard a sum of 2 million CFA francs to kidnap a baby and make her husband believe that it was theirs. The security guard allegedly accepted the offer, receiving an advance of 65,000 CFA francs, and kidnapped a baby around 6 a.m. However, DSC authorities managed to locate the abducted child and immediately returned him to Ndella Madior Diouf. Currently, the woman involved and the orphanage security guard are in police custody.
