GM Minassian: “I don’t talk regarding negotiations. I’ve said that from day one.”

Angels GM Perry Minassian on the 15th (16th Japan time) avoided mentioning negotiations with pitcher Shohei Ohtani, who was aiming to re-sign. This is reported by local media outlets including Rhett Bollinger of MLB’s official website.

Valero revealed the behind-the-scenes details of the bidding war, saying, “I spoke with (GM Minasian) towards the end.In the end, we decided it wasn’t going to work out, so we decided to sign with the Dodgers.”
