African pearls return to the country with fifteenth place – news

The National Senior Women’s Handball Team has been in the country since yesterday, following competing in the twenty-sixth edition of the World Championship, which is still taking place in Norway, Sweden and Denmark.

However, Vivaldo Eduardo and his pupils return to the country’s capital with a feeling of accomplishment, having improved on the twenty-fifth place achieved in the last edition, in the Kingdom of Spain.

A feat that will serve as encouragement for Angolans to honor the colors of the national flag at the Olympic Games in Paris (France) next year.

The national seven finished in fifteenth position, resulting from two wins and three defeats. In the first phase, the African Pearls lost 29-30 to France and (24-30) to Slovenia, without neglecting the draw once morest Iceland (26-26).

In the “Main Round”, that is, in the second phase of the world event, the Angolan women lost to Norway, 19-37, with victories being achieved once morest Austria (30-25) and South Korea (33-31) .

Remember that the race, which started on November 17th, ends next Sunday, the 17th.
