High Five! (High five!) The title of the new exhibition which opens this Sunday at the Fondation Opale, in Lens in Valais, not far from Crans-Montana, unequivocally indicates that the time has come for celebration.
This December 17, the Opale team – starting with Bérengère Primat, its founder and president as well as Gautier Chiarini, its executive director – is celebrating not only a new exhibition, but also the five years of this contemporary art center dedicated to promoting Aboriginal art in Europe. To which is added the opening of a brand new wing. The building now has an auditorium, a meeting room, a library and above all a new storage space which will allow the rich and sometimes fragile collections of Aboriginal art to rest in good conditions. Not to mention that the Foundation regularly hosts other works, depending on the dialogues it leads and the themes it explores.
