Riyadh: A major overhaul of the administration in Saudi Arabia. King Salman issued regarding 20 orders on Tuesday night regarding changes in high-ranking positions, including royal advisers and governors. The current Governor of Madinah, Emir Faisal bin Salman, was removed from his post and appointed as a special adviser to King Salman with cabinet rank. The new governor of Madinah is Emir Salman bin Sultan bin Abdul Aziz. Makkah Deputy Amir Badr bin Sultan bin Abdul Aziz was replaced by Amir Saud bin Mishal bin Abdul Aziz with a higher rank.

The Deputy Governor of the Eastern Province, Amir Ahmad bin Fahd bin Salman, was removed and replaced by the higher ranking Amir Saud bin Bandar bin Abdul Aziz.
