Record-Breaking Import Cargo Movement through Puerto de Matarani, Peru – ASP-B

The Port Services Administration of Bolivia (ASP-B) reported that, between January and November 2023, the movement of import cargo with transit to that country through the Puerto de Matarani, Peru set a new record, surpassing the 2022 management to date.

These load records managed by the ASP-B reveal a total of 191,103,653 tons until November, compared to the 181,492,947 that were obtained throughout last year.

However, the state company announced that until the end of the year, the reception cargo can reach 200 thousand tons, due to the demand for the arrival of high-tonnage motor vessels that are currently arriving at the terminal.

He executive manager of the ASP-B, Dante Justiniano, explained that this increase is due to the services and benefits provided by the company, as well as the operational and logistical conditions offered by the company.
