The governor of the Federal District Ibaneis Rocha (MDB) congratulated, on Wednesday night (13), Flávio Dino and Paulo Gonet for the approvals in the hearings held by the Federal Senate for the appointment of the two candidates for vacancies in the Federal Supreme Court (STF) and the Attorney General’s Office (PGR), respectively.
“My congratulations to Flávio Dino, new Minister of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), and to Paulo Gonet, for his appointment as Attorney General of the Republic (PGR)”, began the president, in the message published on his social networks.
Ibaneis took the opportunity to wish them both success. “I am sure that the trajectory, experience and competence of each one will be fundamental to strengthening justice in our country. I wish you much success in your new journeys”, he concluded.
The hearing was held simultaneously, using a model created by the president of the Constitution, Justice and Citizenship Commission (CCJ), Davi Alcolumbre (União Brasil-AP).
They needed 41 votes in favor of the nomination to be approved. In total, 81 senators occupy the house. Dino received 47 votes in favor, 31 once morest and two abstentions. Gonet had 65 votes in favor, 11 once morest and one abstention.
Earlier, the CCJ had also approved both the appointment of Dino and Paulo Gonet to the Attorney General’s Office (PGR). In this vote, Dino received 17 votes in favor and 10 once morest. Gonet, 23 in favor and 4 once morest.
