The fifth group competitions in the group stage of the 2023-2024 European Champions League will conclude today, Wednesday, as the Spanish Atletico Madrid will meet its Italian guest Lazio, while the Scottish Celtic will play its Dutch guest Feyenoord Rotterdam, at exactly ten o’clock in the evening, Cairo time.
Atletico Madrid vs Lazio
The competition between Atletico and Lazio was limited to the top of the group following the two teams qualified for the round of 16 in the tournament, where the Spanish capital team is currently in the lead with 11 points, with a single point difference in front of its closest competitor, the Italian capital team.
It is enough for Atletico Madrid to obtain a draw point in the match held at the “Civitas Metropolitano” stadium in Madrid, to end its campaign in the group at the top.
While Lazio must win to seize the lead and meet one of the clubs in second place in the other seven groups in the tournament in the round of 16.

The Champions League regulations stipulate that the winner and runner-up of each of the eight groups will advance to the round of 16, while the clubs ranked third in those groups will move to the European League.
