Martínez predicted a “good dialogue” with sector unions such as ATEN and ATE and clarified that the difficulties in the area are not only due to infrastructure but also to other community demands such as teacher absenteeism. On the continuity of the application of the Comprehensive Sexual Education law (ESI) in schools, stated that it is “guaranteed.”

Oil companies will contribute to the scholarship plan


One of the main projects that your ministry will be in charge of will be the application of the “Redistribute Opportunities” scholarships which the Legislature approved as law 3418.

He defined it as “a tool to think regarding a medium and long-term public policy” and recalled that it will have a mixed public and private financing scheme.

«The vast majority of operators today have their own scholarship policy and Governor Rolando Figueroa has proposed that we convert this tool that each company has within the framework of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) into a only scholarship device that allows us to meet the true needs of those who are being trained,” he explained.
