Czech General’s Statements on Potential Conflict with Russia Criticized as ‘Stupid’: Alexei Pushkov

Statements by the Chief of the General Staff of the Czech Armed Forces, Karel Rzechka, regarding a potential conflict with Russia look “stupid.” This was stated by Russian Senator Alexei Pushkov, saying that nothing depends on the Czech Republic in NATO.

He noted that the Czech Republic has a small army. However, statements regarding war by Russia from representatives of the republic are made only because the country is a member of NATO, Pushkov said.

Earlier in Prague, Rzechki said that the war between Russia and the Czech Republic is not something unimaginable. However, at the moment he believes that a military conflict cannot begin.
