DECRYPTION – Thanks to the very vigorous reindustrialization policy carried out by the government, projects are multiplying across the Atlantic. France is also experiencing good progress.

A loan of 7.4 billion dollars. This is the amount obtained by the American Holtec from the United States Department of Energy to finance a factory to mass produce SMRs, these small nuclear reactors. Supported by the State, USABioenergy will, for its part, launch a $1.7 billion project to manufacture renewable aviation fuels (SAF) from wood waste.

The chemist Dow plans to invest $8 billion to decarbonize a polyethylene production site, by converting gaseous effluents into hydrogen and capturing carbon. Again with supporting subsidies. And the amounts invested are even more dizzying in the semiconductor industry: last August, the White House claimed 166 billion in industrial investments in the space of just one year in this sector, thanks to public support representing 53 billion dollars.
