Riyadh: Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman said that ‘Khidiya’ will become the world’s most prominent city in the near future in terms of entertainment, sports and culture. He was making an announcement regarding the global branding process of the project, which will be completed near the capital Riyadh. The city will positively reflect the country’s global position and its own economy.
Khidiya will play a major role in the growth of Riyadh’s economy, raising the standard of living of the city’s residents and making it one of the 10 largest cities in the world. Qualitative investment for Khiddia project is one of the pillars of ‘Vision 2030’. The crown prince said it aims to diversify the sources of income for the local economy and create thousands of job opportunities for Saudi youth.
The city of Khiddia will provide visitors with an enjoyable experience in terms of entertainment, sports and culture. The city covers an area of 360 square kilometers and consists of six lakh buildings. More than six lakh people can live here. There will be 3.25 lakh job opportunities. This will increase the gross domestic product by regarding 135 billion Saudi Riyals. It includes many world-class landmarks and tourist attractions of unique character. The Crown Prince also said that Khiddia city is an entertainment city capable of accommodating 4.8 crore visitors annually.

The Khidiya project area is located in the heart of the Tuwaikh Mountains, 40 minutes from downtown Riyadh. It features extraordinary views of natural landmarks and unique ecological wealth. It will be the global headquarters for electronic games. And there will be facilities for motor sports here. The entertainment city will also have a Formula One racing track, two golf courses, a football sports city with the world’s largest Olympic museum, a Six Flags theme park and a water theme park. Some of these will open within the next two years.
