The latest addition to the 125cc segment, the Bolide E-Trail electric scooter will enter the French market at the start of 2024. It was unveiled exclusively at the EICMA show.
Bolide is a brand new French brand, recently arrived on the electric scooter market. To mark its entry, Bolide hits hard with the E-Trail. Equivalent to 125, it is preparing to compete with the BMW CE-04, one of the best-sellers on the French market.
Two removable batteries and a power of up to 15 kW
Accessible with an A1 license, the Bolide E-Trail electric scooter competes perfectly with the BMW CE 04. It is powered by a motor with a peak power of 15 kW. This electric motor allows it to travel at 115 km/h and reach 50 km/h in 3 seconds. Thus, the scooter can be driven on both urban and suburban roads with some efficiency.
Unlike the BMW CE 04, this 125 cc equivalent takes advantage of 2 batteries extractibles. With a total capacity of 6,48 kWh, the two blocks are placed under the seat. Weighing each 17,5 kilos, so they are not light. However, they can be recharged at home or in the office.
No need to lift these two packs to charge the scooter, as they can be charged without being removed. A full recharge lasts 4 hours and 20 minutes.
Once Eco mode is activated, the electric scooter can travel 160 km. Additionally, it can accommodate two passengers. However, it must be taken into account that the autonomy decreases depending on the weight of the user. Also, this Bolide electric scooter is characterized by its 3 different driving modesand a reverse gear making maneuvering easier.
Racing car: practical features for this electric scooter
It is true that the discovery of this electric scooter at EICMA was “express”, its finish suggests that Bolide has worked well on the subject. In fact, this electric two-wheeler benefits from‘ABS and disc brakes front and rear. In addition, it is accompanied by an application allowing you to mirror the vehicle’s screen.
Among the options, there are dashcams and rims to choose from. Not counting the ecological bonus, this electric scooter is marketed around 8 390 euros. Bolide has partnered with Go2roues for its launch in France.
Pre-ordering the E-Trail is already open while its first deliveries will be made from February 2024.
