Vienna (OTS) – “Every measure once morest violence once morest women is important. It is completely incomprehensible that measures regarding violence protection clinics have only been announced for months and have not yet been implemented. It is important that not only is the label ‘violence clinic’ written on paper – but that it is actually implemented and that women affected by violence are helped quickly and unbureaucratically,” said Vienna’s deputy mayor and women’s city councilor Kathrin Gaál together with Burgenland’s Deputy Governor Astrid Eisenkopf, the Tyrolean State Councilor Eva Pawlata, the Carinthian Social Officer, Deputy Governor Gaby Schaunig as well as the Carinthian Women’s State Councilor Sara Schaar and the Lower Austrian State Councilor Ulrike Königsberger-Ludwig.
Especially when it comes to the issue of protection once morest violence, it is important that everyone pulls together. It is incomprehensible that the federal states are not involved in the planning.
“In any case, we don’t just need announcements, but sustainable actions and low-threshold violence clinics throughout Austria!”, the state councilors unanimously demand involvement. And: “We demand a round table between the federal government and the federal states as quickly as possible.” / Conclusion
