Former Red Devil (1 cap) and Standard player Eddy Snelders was arrested last weekend for exhibitionism, announces HLN.
The events took place in the offices of the family construction company. In early 2022, a neighbor accidentally caught him masturbating in an office located at the back of the company.
The neighbor called out the former player, who had become a television consultant, and he told her that it would not happen once more. But this promise was not kept. Eddy Snelders was seen in his office, overlooking the neighborhood houses, completely naked. The events took place mainly in the evening when the offices were empty. The neighbor who filed a complaint speaks of around forty similar incidents. This is why she finally decided to file a complaint.
HLN specifies that the events also took place in summer when the neighbor’s little daughter was present. She allegedly asked her mother who the naked man was in the back and what he was doing.
Eddy Snelders himself confirmed this story to Laatste Nieuws. “The man was presented before an investigating judge and released under strict conditions,” explains the Antwerp public prosecutor’s office.
Snelders is already receiving treatment from a psychiatrist for deviant sexual behavior and has decided to cooperate fully with the investigation.
