Thrissur ∙ Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that there is no need to worry regarding students leaving the state for studies. The situation in which we grew up is not that of the new generation. The world is in their hands. Therefore, they will be interested in studying abroad. Parents should stand by their opinions. The Chief Minister said that we should look to improve our higher education sector.

Increase facilities in colleges and universities and make the campus accessible to students at all times. Thus, if the excellence of the higher education sector is known, the students will come here. The government is implementing such changes in the field of higher education. The top grade of A++ awarded to Kerala University is proof that it is beginning to bear fruit.

Activities including an international hostel complex are underway to attract foreign students to Kerala. Curriculum reform has been adopted as a policy by the government in both general education and higher education sectors. Attempts are being made to bring major changes in the field of higher education.

Changes are happening in the world of education. Timely change is also needed in our education sector. The government will take steps for that. The government is also considering providing opportunities for part-time work to attract students from outside to Kerala. It will look at how it can be implemented without affecting existing workers’ rights. The Chief Minister said that it is a good idea to provide part-time jobs for students.
