Following in the footsteps of the Tesla Model 3 family sedan, the Model Y SUV will also undergo restyling. Unsurprisingly, the electric leisure vehicle will in turn adopt a smoother and more rewarding snout characterized by headlights now treated horizontally.
Same at the stern, the lights will become more refined, taking the form of hooks with beautiful integration on the tailgate flap. But beyond purely cosmetic considerations, this mid-career makeover will benefit the aerodynamics of the vehicle which should refine its Cx.

A bord, once more like the Model 3, the seats will be redesigned, most likely heated for all seats and ventilated for those at the front. The perceived quality should also take a leap forward with an upgraded finish, which until now was not the strong point of the Californian brand’s models. The centerpiece of the cabin, the touch screen will retain a generous diagonal of 15.4 inches, but by adopting thinner edges, it will slightly enlarge its display surface.
To keep the lead in this area, it is very important for customers to have the largest panel on the market. It is still too early to discuss the ergonomics of this restyled Tesla Model Y, the system which will be shared with that of the Tesla 3 phase 2 will reserve some surprises, particularly around the steering wheel.

The use of laminated glazing will improve the soundproofing of the Model Y. On a technical level, the engines and battery sizes should remain the same, the optimized aerodynamics which we spoke to you above should nevertheless make it possible to grab a few extra kilometers and slightly increase the range of action.
Produced in the Shanghai factory, the Tesla Model Y has already undergone a first batch of modifications in China for the local market. For the moment, these are only minor cosmetic changes to the exterior and in no way a restyling. To be continued.
