A historical artifact from Apple (a check signed by Steve Jobs for RadioShack in 1976) is predicted to surpass the house of US$25 mil in another auction RR Auction which will close the day following tomorrow, December 6th (Wednesday).
The document, valued for its association with Apple’s early days, features the first address of the Apple Computer Company and is signed by Steven Jobs. Dated July 23, 1976, the check is interestingly for just US$4,01.

Although its purpose has not been revealed, the object may be related to the purchase of the Micro TRS-80 Computer System by Steve Wozniak. This system was fundamental in the creation of the “blue box”, used to make free long distance calls.
Headed “Apple Computer Company,” the check uses Apple’s first official address at “770 Welch Rd., Ste. 154, Palo Alto” — located at a telephone answering service and PO box they used while still operating in famous Jobs family garage. In great condition.
With bids exceeding US$22 thousand, the estimated value of the check might exceed US$25 thousand. Other items in the current auction include a sealed first generation iPhoneas well as a signed replica of the Apple-1 board.
It is worth remembering that, last May, a similar check signed by Jobs, worth US$175, was auctioned for almost US$107 thousand. In August, another check signed by the former CEO and Woz fetched more than US$135,000.
