Richard Jäger (35) has been running the McDonald’s restaurant in Unterweitersdorf as a franchisee since Friday, December 1st. For the Salzburg native, this is the third location for which he is responsible in Upper Austria: He is also the head of the McDonald’s restaurants at Linz’s Taubenmarkt (since April 2022) and in Rohrbach (January 2023). He succeeds Karl Zollhuber, who previously managed the restaurant in Unterweitersdorf.
As a McDonald’s franchisee, Richard Jäger now employs 140 people in Upper Austria. “I am very much looking forward to working as a host in Unterweitersdorf together with my team with passion and commitment in the future. In addition to creating a feel-good place for our guests, the individual support of my employees is also important to me,” says Jäger, who is still looking for staff for his two Mühlviertel locations. He is relying on flexible working hours that are specifically intended to accommodate people with care responsibilities.
Karl Zollhuber, who has been a passionate McDonald’s franchisee for over 25 years, has now decided to reduce his portfolio. In addition to the Unterweitersdorf location, the 62-year-old also handed over the one in Enns to another franchisee at the beginning of the month. From now on, the trained restaurateur will concentrate on the McDonald’s restaurants in Freistadt and Mauthausen.
The McDonald’s restaurant at the B124 roundregarding / exit S10 in Unterweitersdorf is open from Monday to Thursday and on Sunday from 8 a.m. to midnight, and on Friday and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 1 a.m.
