Two friends visited 99 pubs in one day. Friends Harry Couros and Jake Loiterton had drinks worth Rs 80,000 from here. However, there was a different reason behind it. Their aim was to achieve the world record for the most pubs visited in 24 hours.
However, both of them got their wish. They set that world record. Harry Kouros and Jake Loiterton broke the record set by South Africa’s Henrich de Villiers by visiting 78 pubs last year. They had two reasons for achieving such a record.
The first is to raise funds for MS Australia, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to multiple sclerosis research. Second, push to revive Sydney’s nightlife, which has been in shambles for the past few years due to Covid and a few other reasons.
The two started their journey to the pub at midnight. Both of them accomplished their goal by following all the rules of Sydney. As he might not drive under the influence of alcohol, other means were adopted. In the meantime, the pubs were closed so they had to travel a long way to find the next pub. Both of them visited 99 pubs in a total of 72 km.
Together, the duo spent around Rs 83,000 on drinks at pubs. In any case, friends are happy to achieve such a record.
