2023-12-03 16:25:15

This Sunday evening, snow will continue to fall on Belgian territory and patches of ice might form during the night. The Royal Institute of Meteorology has placed all of Belgium under yellow alert for slippery conditions until Monday, 3 p.m.

The area of snow precipitation will cross our country towards the Netherlands and Germany. Some freezing rain is still possible very locally. After its passage, some temporary clearings may occur at the start of the night, increasing the risk of formation of localized patches of ice (especially in areas sheltered from the wind).

Late in the night from Sunday to Monday, a new disturbance will reach us via France. You will have to be wary of a risk of freezing precipitation in the west. Along the French border, some light snowfall will already be possible at dawn.

During the morning of Monday, the snow precipitation will turn into rain, except in the Ardennes where the snow will persist a little longer. There is still a lot of uncertainty regarding the persistence of the freezing nature of these rains when they move north. Take your precautions.
