FOXBOROUGH, MA — On Sunday, one team is trying to show they are better than their record, while the other is trying anything to score over 10 points, as the Los Angeles Chargers take on the New England Patriots.

The Chargers might be the most disappointing team in football.
With assets like Justin Herbert, Austin Ekeler and Keenan Allen on offense, it is hard to pinpoint where the offense’s shortcomings come from. Since losing to the Detroit Lions in a shootout in Week 10, Los Angeles has scored just 30 points over the last two losses, including 10 last Sunday night once morest the Baltimore Ravens. Whether it be the play-calling, or the execution, the Chargers have just not been good enough to be competing for a playoff spot.
They come into Sunday’s matchup tied for 13th in the AFC, two games back of the Indianapolis Colts for the last postseason position in the conference.
It is hard to say the Patriots are playing below expectations, because the team had very little coming into 2023. Bill Belichick’s tactics have gone sour, and the abysmal play from Mac Jones has left fans in New England longing for the days of Tom Brady. While their defense has been solid over the last two games, giving up just 10 points to the Colts and New York Giants, but the offense scored 13 over that span, and have now lost four straight games.
The Pats are currently the second-worst team in the league, one game ahead of the Carolina Panthers.
New England is 27-15-2 once morest the Chargers, with the Patriots winning the last meeting two years ago.
MY PICK: Chargers win, 24-10
