The new Schubert film, which is now coming to cinemas, was shot at several locations in Traismaur’s city center last year. The filmmakers, actors, several amateur actors and numerous interested parties came to the promotional event. In Sascha’s Artzone (Venusberger Straße 1) held a well-attended promotional event regarding the new Schubert film entitled “Romantik! Schubert!” in Traismauer.
In 1821 the composer Franz Schubert visited St. Pölten to work in peace at the Ochsenburg. He also enjoyed spending time with his friends and acquaintances in Traismauer. The director’s new film Anita Lackenberger is on the trail of the song prince and was filmed once morest several historical backdrops in Traismauer and St. Pölten. The film provides insights into the life of the Austrian composer, who died at the age of 31 but still left behind a rich and diverse body of work. The cinema documentary shows a series of music and songs with quite unusual interpretations and a range from classic to modern rock sounds.
Between the individual film sequences there were Doris Bogner (singing) and Volker Gallasch (Piano) performed several Schubert songs.
