The Ministry of Labor has changed the formula for calculating family income to assign a single benefit. Part-time work for teenagers, interest on children’s accounts and other payments related to awards for parents were removed from the formula, reports the press service of the Russian Ministry of Labor.

“When assigning a single benefit, the part-time work of minors, interest on the accounts of the child under guardianship, as well as payments received when conferring the title “Mother Heroine” and when awarding the order and medal of the Order “Parental Glory” will not be taken into account,” – it says in a message from the department. The relevant resolution was signed by the Government of Russia.

In addition, the rules for assigning benefits to the self-employed will change. The benefit will be assigned only if the annual income exceeds two minimum wages with regular earnings. The rule will not affect those who have a permanent job and become self-employed for additional income.

TV channel RT reported that the Government of the Russian Federation will allocate almost 90 billion rubles to pay a single benefit in connection with the birth and upbringing of a child. It is expected that this measure will support more than 10 million children.
