The portal ‘Impacto News’ shared the fragment of an interview with Ley Martín in which he talks regarding these awards and rejects that they are “rigged” awards: “Premios Luna only awards five awards on the night. Nothing else. So, if I had a business like the Grammys have, because at the Grammys everyone pays for everything and it is well done, everyone does things the way they want,” says the founder of the awards.
Martín stressed that the Luna Awards are not “rigged” and took the opportunity to tell an anecdote related to the Cartagena champeta singer Mr Black.
“Last year I called Mr Black and told him: ‘Mister, I would like ‘Catalina’, which is a very good song, I think it’s worth it if you sing it, if you can, that’s what I tell everyone,” and he said these words to me: “Law, if you don’t guarantee me that I’m going to win, I’m not going.” And I told him: “Mister, don’t go because I don’t know who is going to win.”
