The import-export value of agro-forestry and aquatic products down 5.9%
The total import-export value of agro-forestry and aquatic products is estimated at 85.13 billion USD between January and November, down 5.9% compared to the same period last year, announced the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD).

Of this amount, exports were valued at USD 47.84 billion and imports at USD 37.29 billion, resulting in a trade surplus of USD 10.55 billion, up by 33.7% over one year, the ministry said.
As many as six products/product groups recorded an export value of over USD 3 billion, comprising coffee, rice, vegetables, cashew nuts, shrimps and wood and wood products .
In November alone, the country’s export earnings amounted to USD 4.79 billion, up 0.3% from the previous month and 13% year-on-year. In particular, all product groups increased compared to November 2022, such as agricultural products, up by 24.7%, livestock by 9.7%, forestry products by 2.8% and aquatic products by 1.4%.
In the first 11 months, due to the sharp decline in the export value of some major products, the total export turnover further decreased by 2.7% compared with the corresponding period last year .

Regarding the market, the value of product exports to Asia increased by 6.8%, America by 17.7%, Europe by 12.5%, Africa by 21.7% and l ‘Oceania by 13.5%.
China, the United States and Japan remain the largest importers. In particular, China’s export value increased by 18%, while the export revenue of the United States and Japan fell by 17.9% and 9.1%, respectively.
MARD said it will continue to address market issues to facilitate the export of agricultural and aquatic products, especially to the markets of China, the United States, the EU and the Eurasian Economic Union. .
