The wild poster campaign is not to the taste of the first deputy mayor of Paris. Emmanuel Grégoire indicates that the brand will receive “a big fine”.
“Prepare yourself for a big fine.” The American chain specializing in donuts Krispy Kreme will soon open the doors of its first French store in Paris.
“Macaroon resignation!”, “the best croissant in Paris”, “It would have been more logical to open in Trouville”… An arrival of the brand noticed in the capital, since it was accompanied by a wild poster campaign.
“A big cleaning bill.”
The latter was also condemned by elected officials of the city. Emmanuel Grégoire, first deputy mayor of Paris, invites the American channel to prepare to “take a big fine”.
Same reaction for Antoine Guillou, deputy mayor of Paris, in charge in particular of all questions relating to the cleanliness of public spaces, who assures that the brand will receive “a big cleaning bill”.
“Above all, you will receive a large cleaning bill, well done! And on January 1st the State will have transferred to us the authority to fine you an additional 1,500 euros per poster, so we will see who will change their regime,” he writes, on his X account, formerly Twitter.
Lamia El Aaraje, deputy mayor of Paris in charge of universal accessibility and people with disabilities, asks the brand to keep its “junk” to itself.
The American chain specializing in Krispy Kreme donuts will open its first French brand in Paris at the end of November and aims to open several dozen points of sale in 2024, mainly in Île-de-France. This first French establishment, intended to eventually supply other points of sale, will be located in the Forum des Halles shopping center in the center of Paris.
