It was the last open border crossing for passenger traffic between Finland and Russia: Raja-Jooseppi, located north of the Arctic Circle, almost 1000 kilometers as the crow flies from Helsinki, named following a hermit who lived here in the first half of the 20th century. As of Thursday, the border bar will also remain down in Raja-Jooseppi, as Prime Minister Petteri Orpo announced at a press conference.
