TORREON, Coahuila. November 28, 2023. This Monday, activities of the VII Health Research Meeting and the III Graduate Forum began at the Faculty of Medicine Torreón Unit of the Autonomous University of Coahuila, which takes place in a hybrid manner until November 30, 2023. .
The opening ceremony was held in the auditorium of the Faculty of Medicine, attended by the coordinator of the Torreón Unit, Sandra López Chavarría; the director of the Torreón Unit Faculty of Medicine, Daniel Campos Torres; the head of Graduate Studies at the Faculty, Rubén García Garza.
As well as, the representative of the State Council of Science and Technology (COECYT) Laguna Region, Avelino Hernández Corichi; the Academic Secretary of the Faculty of Medicine, Sandra Araceli Sicsik Ayala, students, teachers and researchers on the campus.
In his message, the director of the Torreón Unit Faculty of Medicine, Daniel Campos Torres, congratulated the participants and speakers of the Meeting for the clinical work carried out at the “Dr. Joaquín del Valle Sánchez” and the Torreón University Children’s Hospital.
For her part, the coordinator of the Torreón Unit, Sandra López Chavarría, pointed out that “this event is transcendental because it brings together brilliant minds committed to the advancement of medicine and health promotion, as well as the common desire to improve quality.” of people’s lives through research and knowledge.”
He added that, in this Seventh Health Research Meeting and Third Alumni Forum, the UAdeC Faculty of Medicine is proud to be the meeting point for outstanding researchers, health professionals, and graduates who have become ambassadors of excellence in the field of medicine.
It should be noted that the VII Meeting “Health Research” and the III Forum of Graduates of the Faculty of Medicine, seeks to highlight the development of scientific research by postgraduate students, together with their research professors, as well as the collaboration with teachers from other countries.
This edition will feature keynote lectures from the master’s degrees in Multidisciplinary Health Research, Clinical Research and Doctorate in Biomedical Sciences, as well as oral presentations and poster exhibitions with the participation of 32 invited external evaluators, who will recognize the outstanding graduate.
