IKEA earlier announced the launch of three home sensing components, including Parasoll, which can detect the opening and closing status of doors and windows, and Vallhorn, a motion detection sensing component, as well as Barding, a water leakage sensor. The sensing components launched this time are compatible with the previously launched DIRIGERA hub device and adopt a smaller size design, and the Vallhorn is further compatible with the old TRÅDFRI gateway accessories. Both Parasoll and Vallhorn can be linked with IKEA smart light bulbs. For example, when the doors and windows are not closed properly, the light bulbs can be lit as a reminder, or they can be set to automatically turn on the light bulbs to illuminate the door when it detects someone passing by. Users can customize the light color and brightness displayed when the light bulb is linked. In addition, it can be linked to up to 10 IKEA smart light bulbs. The suggested selling price of Parasoll is 9.99 euros, the suggested selling price of Vallhorn is 7.99 euros, and the suggested selling price of Barding is 9.99 euros. However, the US price has not yet been announced. As for Vallhorn, it will be launched in January 2024, and Parasoll is expected to be launched next year. Entering the U.S. market in April, Barding will be officially sold in the U.S. market in July next year.
