The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and Clearing, Laura Cha, said in an exclusive interview with Sky News Arabia that the Hong Kong Stock Exchange is looking for investment opportunities in the Gulf region to enhance financial cooperation between the region and China.
She added, on the sidelines of the Abu Dhabi Financial Week activities, that the Middle East, especially the Gulf countries, are very attractive to us in Hong Kong, noting that there are many great opportunities in the region while capital is moving towards Asia, so we see it as a bilateral flow that carries with it many “There are opportunities for exploration by both sides.”
She continued, saying: “We continue to explore opportunities and improve market efficiency.. In the past year, we have significantly improved the market structure to make operations on the market more effective. So these are the things that will be beneficial for investment.
