Spider-Man 2 became Insomniac’s biggest release on PlayStation 5 by selling 5 million copies in just 10 days, but not all of the content created by the developer was used in the game. This was revealed by Tony Todd, responsible for playing Venom in the game, during the Fan Expo San Francisco event.
Todd says that only 10% of his lines were used by Insomniac in Spider-Man 2, this means that there is a lot of content that the developer can use in a future expansion for the game. Check out the Spider-Man 2 review here.

Furthermore, the actor revealed that Insomniac removed scenes in which Miles Morales would also use the Symbiote suit with expanded and unique powers, as only Peter is possessed by the alien in this version of the story.
Although the idea was discarded for Spider-Man 2, it is possible that Insomniac just “shelved” it to use it in Spider-Man 3 or a future DLC, as one of Peter’s enemies manages to escape with a sample of the Symbiote that was being stored by Norman Osborn.
This makes us wonder what other samples of the Symbiote may be intact in the billionaire’s other deposits. Furthermore, Osborn asks his team to prepare the G Serum, which might be related to the Green Goblin (Green Elf), one of Spider-Man’s biggest villains in the comics, who might get a renewed version in the video games.
Finally, it is important to remember that Insomniac has already stated that it can work on a spin-off game with the story of Venom if fans show interest in the idea, which has already become more than clear with the sales of the game for PS5.
