Ethics and Progressive Neurological Diseases: Navigating Challenges and Embracing Change

2023-11-27 14:33:03

Progressive neurological diseases – Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, Lewy body disease, multiple sclerosis, ALS, etc. – constitute major medical and public health challenges. They also raise ethical and human questions, which lead us to re-examine the meaning, value and purpose of our actions.

How to reconcile security and freedom? How to deal with refusals of help offers? How to preserve an intimate and emotional life? How to support the end of (the) life?

These are the questions, and many others, that this Autumn University “Ethics and progressive neurological diseases” will address, intended for health and medico-social professionals as well as sick people and their loved ones, researchers, actors of social and technological innovation, representatives of public authorities, volunteers and members of associations.

This year’s Fall University theme will be Time, body and emotions.
