The specialized site Windows Report has managed to get its hands on a first handful of visuals of the Galaxy Book 4 and Galaxy Book 4 360, the next generation of laptop PCs from Samsung.

Without any surprise, Samsung is preparing to renew its laptop PC offering with the upcoming arrival of the Galaxy Book 4 and Book 4 360, but also that of their respective “Pro” versions. Expected to take over from the current Galaxy Book 3 (we also tested the Galaxy Book 3 Ultra a few months ago), these new models are being revealed this week thanks to the specialized site Windows Reportwho has already been able to inform us regarding the broad outlines of their technical sheets.
We thus discover a sober and refined design, close to what we already found in the past… and we should also see a reuse of the same materials. In 2024, the Galaxy Books would therefore evolve mainly in terms of performance and on-board components.
More pep, without real risk taking?
We thus learn that Samsung will arm its next laptop PCs with Core i5, i7 or i9 depending on the models chosen (the Core i5s will be available on the “classic” Galaxy Book 4, while you will have to upgrade to the Galaxy Book 4 Ultra for take advantage of a Core i9). With the exception of the most accessible model in the range, all Galaxy Book 4s will also be equipped with an AMOLED screen and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity.

We will also find common connectors with a USB-A 3.2 port, two USB-C Thunderbolt 4 ports, a full-size HDMI output, a headphone jack and… a microSD card reader (Samsung still not having understood that photographers / videographers use classic SD cards).
Graphically, the Galaxy Book 4 / Book 4 360 will make do with the iGPU integrated into their processor, while the Galaxy Book 4 Pro / Book 4 360 Pro will use dedicated Intel Arc graphics cards. The Galaxy Book 4 Ultra will benefit from an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070, which is significantly more muscular (provided that it is not as restricted as on the Galaxy Book 3 Ultra). This model should also feature faster RAM than last year, as well as a larger battery, notes Windows Report.
As in the past, the Galaxy Book 4 360 / Book 4 360 Pro will rely on a 360-degree hinge to switch to “tent” or tablet mode. They will once once more carry a stylus and should benefit from an anti-reflective treatment to improve the readability of their screen outdoors.
For the moment no price has yet leaked, but Samsung should resume the same price placement as in 2023 for its various 2024 models, with the exception of the Galaxy Book 4 Ultra, which might cost a little more next year Dear. The announcement of these various new features should take place within a few months, potentially in February or March.
