Fiction competition

“Chronicles of Tehran” by Ali Asgari and Alireza Khatami, received the professional jury prize. The student jury’s Danielle Le Roy prize was awarded to “Green Border” by Agnieszka Holland. The audience prize goes to “Me, Captain”, by Matteo Garrone.

Unpublished documentary competition

The professional jury prize was awarded to “Les Sentinelles de l’oubli” by Jérôme Prieur. The Bernard Landier prize of the high school jury is for “We were brothers” by Hakob Melkonyan and the public prize for “A Frenchwoman in Kabul, the adventure of a lifetime” by Marie-Pierre Camus and Charlotte Erlih.

Overview of the documentary

“Hebron, Palestine, the factory of occupation” by Idit Avrahami and Noam Sheizaf receives the jury prize from the City of Pessac.

Cinema history documentary competition

“Fellini, confidences rediscovered” by Jean-Christophe Rosé received the Michel Ciment prize, awarded by the professional jury and “Almodovar, the insolent of La Mancha” by Catherine Ulmer Lopez, the Cameo jury prize.

Cinema History Book Prize

This prize goes to Dominique Missika for “The Bernard Natan Affair. The dark years of French cinema”, released in August 2023. The jury wanted to reward a study which rehabilitates the name and honor of Bernard Natan, a man devoted to cinema but who was crushed by the sad passions of his time.

Pope Clement Prize
