The project involves the construction of a new three-story pavilion which will include 64 beds for pulmonary medicine and specialized medicine care.

The new pavilion will optimize current spaces, in addition to making staff work easier.

These new beds will create more places available for postoperative care, which will help increase the volume of surgeries, according to Quebec.

No more surgeries

This project represents an investment of $66,355,000, mainly assumed by the Ministry of Health and Social Services. The permit request for the expansion reaches nearly $43 million.

“This work will concretely contribute to increasing the capacity of the establishment in terms of surgery,” said the Minister of Health, Christian Dubé.

The establishment will help finance this project with a contribution of $700,000.
