Global Concerns: Expert Warnings About Mpox Epidemic in Democratic Republic of Congo

According to figures from the World Health Organization (WHO), there have been 581 deaths from mpox (formerly called monkeypox) in the Democratic Republic of Congo this year. The country has also recorded nearly 12,000 cases of infections due to this virus, making it the largest epidemic the country has ever experienced.
