Following last week in which their offense struggled once morest the Houston Texans, the Arizona Cardinals (2-9) may be without multiple wide receivers as they host the Los Angeles Rams (4-6) inside State Farm Stadium in Glendale today at 2:05 p.m.
The Cardinals defense came up big despite Houston quarterback C.J. Stroud throwing for 336 yards.
Arizona intercepted three passes from Stroud and kept the score close, but Cardinals offense mightn’t claw back into the game as both teams did not score in the fourth quarter.
At the time of reporting, wide receivers Marquise Brown (heel) and Zach Pascal (hamstring) are questionable while Michael Wilson (shoulder) has been ruled out for Arizona.
Due to this, Cardinals WR Rondale Moore is will be targeted by Murray way more than Moore has been all season since he is the next man up in the wide receiver core.
As for LA, they were able to claim a close, 17-16 win over the Seattle Seahawks on Nov. 19.
Down 16-7 in the fourth quarter, Rams running back Darrell Henderson Jr. scored a touchdown to minimize the deficit to 16-14.
Then, Los Angeles kicker Lucas Havrisik nailed a 22-yard field goal with only 1:31 left in the game to complete a rally, 17-16.
With the Rams being third and Cardinals in fourth place in the NFC West, today’s battle should be contested between two division foes.
Earlier this season, LA beat the Cardinals 26-9 as Arizona kicker Matt Prater was the only player who scored in the game for his team.
Prater made three field-goals, including one from 55-yards away.
Besides that, ex-Cardinal quarterback Josh Dobbs and his offense was unable to score a single point.
Furthermore, Dobbs completed 21-41 passes for 235 yards and threw an interception.
In contrast, Los Angeles kicker Brett Maher converted four field goals, but did not have to be relied on as their one source of offense.
Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp caught a 13-yard pass from quarterback Matthew Stafford and running back Kyren Williams ran for 5 yards as they both scored touchdowns.
Speaking of Kupp, he was originally questionable following suffering an ankle injury during the game once morest Seattle.
Since returning from a hamstring issue in Week 5, Kupp has gathered 375 yards from 24 receptions and 1 touchdown.
Today, Kupp will suit up and face the Cardinals which will help the Rams’ offensive production massively.
Overall, Arizona is 40-49-2 all-time once morest the Rams.
