The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following communication: “Within the framework of the continuous follow-up carried out by the Internal Security Forces to pursue and arrest those involved in car thefts in various Lebanese regions, and in the context of investigations carried out by the International Theft Crimes Office in the police unit The judicial officers identified a person who was sheltering the detainees in his home in addition to participating in the thefts, and he is called: R.G. (born in 1994, Lebanese).”
He added, “As a result of extensive surveys and investigations, members of the aforementioned office lured him and were able to arrest him in the Hazmieh locality, and by searching his house located in the Aley locality, they seized equipment used in theft operations, a sensitive scale, tools used in drug abuse, and a counterfeit sum of money of the denomination of / 50 / US dollar.
The statement continued, “By listening to him, he confessed to what was attributed to him, and it was found that he had a history of drug trafficking crimes.”
He concluded, “The investigation is continuing under the supervision of the competent judiciary.”
