DUBLIN (AP) — Katie Taylor avenged the only defeat she has suffered as a professional by winning a split decision over Chantelle Cameron on Saturday, to become the undisputed champion in two categories.

The Irish improved to 23-1 following two judges gave her the victory 98-92 and 96-94. The third ruled 95-95 at Dublin’s 3Arena, six months following Cameron also won by split ruling at the same venue.

Taylor, 37 years old and whose titles were not at stake, has now taken over Cameron’s two belts in the super lightweight division.

“These six months were the longest of my life, waiting for this rematch,” Taylor said in the ring. “Tonight, they saw the real me. And when I box like that, no one can beat me.”

Taylor said she was open to a third fight with Cameron, and mentioned that Ireland’s largest stadium might be the venue.

“We have to complete a trilogy in Croke Park,” he commented, referring to the building for 82,000 spectators.

It was Cameron’s first loss as a professional. The 32-year-old Englishwoman is 18-1.
