INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Tyrese Haliburton had 26 points and 16 assists, Myles Turner scored 10 of 23 points in the fourth quarter and the Indiana Pacers earned the right to play at home in the quarterfinals of the In-Season tournament by sweeping on Friday 136-113 to the Detroit Pistons.
The Pacers, 4-0 in Eastern Conference Group A, will host their next opponent on December 4 or 5.
After opening the season 2-1, Detroit has lost 13 straight games. Indiana outscored the Pistons 39-17 in the final quarter.
Despite a right wrist injury, Haliburton made 9 of 23 shots with five 3-pointers. Seven Pacers players scored at least 15 points.
Buddy Hield scored 18 to continue his streak. In the last three games since he came into the lineup, he scored 73 points and made 16 of 25 three-pointers. Obi Toppin and Bennedict Mathurin contributed 15 units each.
Pistons guard Cade Cunningham led all scorers with 31 and Jaden Ivey had 25.
Pacers coach Rick Carlisle ties Frank Vogel for second on the franchise’s wins list with 250. Bobby “Slick” Leonard is first with 529.
