The firefighters from the Vouldy barracks, in collaboration with photographer Olivier Gobert, created a calendar on the theme of superheroes and Disney.
Every year, the Aube firefighters go door to door to sell their calendar. At the Troyes-Vouldy barracks, the Amicale wanted ” to mark the hit “by proposing a theme that is original to say the least. “It was fun for us to feature firefighters saving superheroes,” says Loïc, member of the Amicale. But not only.
If Spiderman or Batman find themselves in trouble in the 2024 edition of the calendar*, the firefighters also come to the aid of Sleeping Beauty and the Little Mermaid. “We said to ourselves that the residents wanted to see something other than intervention photos, they already see a lot of them in the newspaper”jokes Benoît, the president of the Association. “We wanted to do something pleasant for people”adds Lucie, volunteer.
And the bet paid off. The photos taken by Olivier Gobert of Studio OG., with the collaboration of Justine Dallier of the company Fée ton rêve for the costumes, will appeal to the people of Aubois. There is no doubt that the 2024 calendar of the association will have a good place in the kitchen.
Spiderman doesn’t like the heat
The shoots were carried out between May and July of this year and it was not always an easy affair like the day of the photo of Spiderman’s rescue (see photo). “ Everyone was suspended on a wall of the Vouldy barracks. It must have been 35 or 36 degrees. The colleague who wore the Spiderman costume mightn’t take it anymore », says Benoît. The fireman still mentions the photo with The Little Mermaid which was to be taken at the swimming pool and underwater; in apnea therefore. “Finally, the photographer’s camera took on water and we stopped everything. The photo was taken at the lake with the divers.”
Although the firefighters had a lot of fun creating this calendar, they did not lose sight of the primary objective: collecting donations. “This money will be used to unite the firefighters of the station, to create links outside of operational life,” adds Benoît. Julie illustrates: “We finance stays, we organize festive events.” For his part, Loïc emphasizes: “ The purpose of the sale of these calendars is first of all to support the action of the Works of the Wards “. It helps orphaned firefighters whose parent has died on duty or off duty.
