The 2022 World Cup is behind it, but FIFA continues to do business with Qatar. The world football body has extended its partnership contract with the national airline, Qatar Airways. It is now renewed until the year 2030. As such, Qatar Airways retains its status as FIFA’s global airline partner. The agreement will cover major FIFA-branded tournaments, including the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Mexico and Canada, the Women’s World Cup in 2027, then the 2030 Men’s World Cup in six countries and three continents. The partnership also covers all junior men’s and women’s tournaments, including the U-17 World Cup in Indonesia. FIFA and Qatar Airways have been associated since May 2017. The airline is taking advantage of the extension of its contract to announce the upcoming launch of a new offer dedicated to football fans, where tickets for matches can be accompanied by flights and accommodation for certain FIFA tournaments, through a dedicated platform.
