That’s what it’s regarding
Cheyenne Ochsenknecht (23) and her husband Nino (27) have been working in agriculture for a good three years.
They have cameras accompany their life on the farm for a reality format.
The two quickly realized that country life is just as hard as city life.
It’s been a good three years since Cheyenne Ochsenknecht (23) and her husband Nino Sifkovits (27) turned their backs on big city life in Berlin and swapped it for a family life in the Styrian countryside. Since then, the two, who are parents to daughter Mavie (2) and baby Matteo, have been taking care of the farm and breeding Nino’s father Gerald’s Chianina cattle. The young family has now taken a big step and taken out a loan of around half a million euros to modernize the stables.
But owing so much money is anything but easy for the two of them and sometimes causes sleepless nights, as they said in an interview with “Bunte”. «Of course we are afraid that we won’t be able to pay off our loan for our new cattle stable. Neither of us are 30 yet – it’s really a big burden to take on so much money.”
But the risk seems to be worth it for both of them. “We want to raise our children here,” says Nino regarding their new home in the reality documentary “Our Farm – with Cheyenne and Nino,” which has been shown on Sky and Wow since Wednesday.
The audience sees Nino and Cheyenne mucking out, doing “sheep wrestling,” visiting a hipster farmer with robot workers and planning the new high-tech stable. The cattle are supposed to clean up their own manure – or something like that.
Pregnant Cheyenne Ochsenknecht pitched in
During filming, Cheyenne was still pregnant with baby Matteo. That didn’t stop her from working on the farm. “Many people see me with my nails and eyelashes and think I’m not much of a farmer,” says the city planter. But she already knows the agricultural terminology. Even grumpy father-in-law Gerald seems to have accepted her as a worker.
In the next episode, Cheyenne gives birth to her child. As the preview shows, complications arise. Fortunately, we know that everything turned out well. In the next episode, mother Natascha Ochsenknecht (59) stops by.
