This easy ciabatta is undeniably one of those recipes that you will want to make once more and once more. In addition to being easy to prepare, it is delicious, fluffy and can even be stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or even frozen.

It is definitely a recipe that you need to try.

Ciabatta bread

Ciabatta is a typically Italian bread, which features the addition of olive oil during preparation, as well as a very hydrated dough.

Because of this difference in dough, the inside will be airy and very light. Furthermore, it generally follows rectangular and not completely uniform shapes, since the dough is softer and does not have the structure to rise much.

Precisely because the dough is more hydrated, it is normal for you to find this bread with a layer of flour on the outside. This is normal, as we need to add this ingredient in abundance to shape the bread. But you can definitely remove the excess, just like we did.

Bread without kneading

If you are looking for a more traditional recipe for this bread, this recipe is definitely for you.

However, if your goal is to make a faster and more practical version, the recipe I’m going to teach you today is certainly the best option.

This is because, in addition to not needing pre-yeast (which requires more hours of production), you won’t need to knead the dough for this bread.

However, in order to guarantee a soft, light and well-fermented bread, it will be necessary to make 3 folds in the dough while it is rising.

Why can’t I overbake my ciabatta?

Another very common characteristic of this bread is that, most of the time, you will find it with a lighter crust, at most slightly golden.

This has a reason! If you overbake, your bread is likely to be drier inside. This happens, mainly because of the format.

Therefore, I recommend baking until it is lightly golden. But, in any case, you can leave it at whatever point you prefer.
