Expo Doha 2023: International Horticultural Exhibition at Al Bidda Park

Doha ∙ One and a half months following the International Horticultural Exhibition (Expo Doha) at Albida Park, 10 lakh visitors came to the green sights. The first international horticultural expo in the Arab region, which lasts for 6 months, started on October 2 at Albida Park. As the Expo venue at Albida Park has become an important environmental, cultural and entertainment center in the region, visitors from all over the world come to see the sights at the Doha Expo.

Expo Doha is being held under the theme Green Desert, Better Environment. Various programs and exhibitions are held at the expo venues on various themes such as green technology and sustainable policies. The exhibition showcases the most suitable methods and systems for horticultural and sustainable agriculture, suitable for different countries. The Expo is being held in partnership with 88 countries. Out of these, the pavilions of 70 countries have already started functioning.

The pavilions of the respective countries introduce sustainable farming practices, innovative ways to combat climate change, and projects aimed at sustainable environment, along with recreational, cultural and heritage attractions. The expo is divided into 3 zones namely Cultural, Family and International. The family zone also hosts daily evening fitness classes for visitors.

Various ministries and public sector organizations have showcased sustainable green visions in their pavilions. Families are enthralled by the daily variety of entertainment and cultural events and live shows at the Family and Cultural Zones. The exhibition will run till March 28, 2024.
