Delays are possible in the execution of deeds of sale and credit due to technical problems encountered by the FPS Finances, warned Fednot, the notarial federation, on Wednesday.
Since November 6, the FPS Finances has been experiencing “serious” technical problems which are causing a delay in sending mortgage statements. The new “HyproPro” application, launched on this date, suffers from some “teething illnesses”, indicates the public service.
Consequently, notarial offices are obliged to delay the execution of certain acts of sale and credit, in order to be able to guarantee the legal security of the transaction for the citizen, explains Fednot.
The federation, which is “in close consultation” with the FPS Finances, indicates that delays are possible. If necessary, notaries will inform clients.
Fednot currently has no exact information on when the technical issues will be definitively resolved. The FPS Finances, for its part, indicates that it is continuing “monitoring in order to catch up with the delay”. “Everything is in place to remedy this problem in the coming hours.”
