The Israeli government approved early Wednesday the agreement providing for the release of 50 hostages – women and children – from Hamas in exchange for the release of Palestinian prisoners and a four-day truce in the Gaza Strip , according to an official press release. “The Israeli government, Israeli army and security forces will continue the war to return all abductees, eliminate Hamas and ensure that there is no further threat to the State of Israel from Gaza”adds this press release.The Hamas government announced Tuesday that 14,128 Palestinians had been killed in Israeli bombardments on the Gaza Strip since the start of the war..
