The Israeli government approved early Wednesday the agreement providing for the release of 50 hostages – women and children – from Hamas in exchange for the release of Palestinian prisoners and a four-day truce in the Gaza Strip , according to an official press release. “The Israeli government, Israeli army and security forces will continue the war to return all abductees, eliminate Hamas and ensure that there is no further threat to the State of Israel from Gaza”adds this press release.The Hamas government announced Tuesday that 14,128 Palestinians had been killed in Israeli bombardments on the Gaza Strip since the start of the war.. Among the deaths recorded to date are 5,840 children, detailed the Hamas government. Additionally, 33,000 people were injured.Two of thirty-three premature babies who were to be evacuated from Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza died during the night before their evacuation, the World Health Organization reported Tuesday. Thirty-three premature babies from Al-Shifa, the largest hospital in the Gaza Strip, were scheduled to be evacuated on Sunday.Doctors Without Borders (MSF) reported on Tuesday that three doctors, including two working for the organization, were killed in a strike on Al-Awda hospital in the northern Gaza Strip., Earlier in the day. The two doctors of the organization “ were in the hospital when [l’établissement] was hit on the third and fourth floors. Other medical staff, including MSF staff, were also seriously injured,” said the NGO in a communiqué.The European Union gave its approval on Tuesday to the continuation of its development aid for the Palestinians, following a review that showed no funds had benefited Hamas, but stressed that tighter controls would be put in place in the future.At least “twelve patients and their relatives” were killed, and “dozens, injured”, in Israeli strike on Indonesian hospital, in the northern Gaza Strip, said Ashraf Al-Qdra, spokesperson for the ministry in the Hamas-administered Gaza Strip. Around 200 patients were evacuated from this hospital, in coordination with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). There are still 400 patients remaining in the facility, he added.
